Domaine de la Vieille
Family estate · Pic Saint-Loup · Certified organic
For eleven generations, the Ratier family has grown grapes, made wine and bottled it at Domaine de la Vieille. Honest, lively and sometimes unexpected organic cuvées.
A family story
Domaine de la Vieille takes its name from the hamlet where it stands, just outside Saint-Mathieu-de-Tréviers. Winemaking passion is passed down from one generation to the next.
For eleven generations, the Ratier family has cultivated this remarkable Pic Saint-Loup terroir. In 2002, Guy Ratier took over from his parents and built a new winery. Julien joined the estate in 2011.
In 2014, the family began using plants, flowers and essential oils to reduce permitted copper and sulphur. Magnetoculture trials followed in 2015, both in the vineyard and cellar.
We grow our grapes, make our wines and bottle them at the estate: genuine grower-producer work, from vine to bottle.
